Nick Menza dies after collapsing on stage during a show at age 51
Nick Menza, best known as the drummer of Megadeth in the 1990s, died Saturday, reportedly after collapsing on stage during a Los Angeles concert.
Menza, 51, was playing drums with his band OHM at The Baked Potato on May 21 when he suddenly collapsed during the third song of the set, CNN reports. Paramedics were unable to revive him.
The cause of death is unknown at this time, and Menza's manager did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment. However, his manger did tell the BBC that Menza collapsed onstage and was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
